Many of you may have the desire to be healthy, you have the desire to eat well and exercise but there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. Whether you’re working a 60 hour week or chasing 2 kids around the house all day, there isn’t time for much else. And even on the rare occasion that you do find a little time for yourself, the last thing you want to do is run to the gym or cook a healthy meal. After all, those few free hours are your deserved time to relax. You are busy! I get it, but I want to propose an idea for you to chew on for a bit. A successful workout doesn’t always mean you have to spend an hour at the gym. A healthy diet doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to fruits and vegetables only. I’m telling you that even a 10 minute workout can have an impact. Or replacing one snack a day with a healthy one. You want to do better but you can’t make the huge commitment to change your entire life upside down, I don’t expect you to. I want you to take a baby step, just this week. Find one thing that you’ve been struggling with and make a small goal to help you improve upon that. You have New Year’s Resolutions that you’ve made, and Health Movement wants to help you achieve those! Don’t feel overwhelmed, just use 10 minutes of your day to work towards a goal. This week your challenge is to make one single goal to improve your health. By doing this baby step you are choosing to take control of your own life and make a real change that will truly impact your health. Remember that no pill can give you the the healthy life you want, only you can do that! This is how you #FightTheFad. Go to our website Healthmovement.com to start tracking your baby steps for free!

My mom always kept her weight under control, until we gradually move out from home. She was too busy to let the weight pile up on her. She never went to the gym. I never saw her exercise. The word ''diet'' was only mentioned on my dad's part when it was time for his annual military physical. His love of mom's cooking kept him having to watch his waistline. How did mom do it? She moved...I mean she kept busy with keeping up with all of us kids and cleaning house. We always had an immaculate home and good food on a shoestring budget. Mom made sure we had vegetables every night, but we never talked about it. Just that it was all good. So, I guess my point is that there are no excuses. I have physical limitations, but I can still exercise and make healthy food choices. It is easier these days than ever before. Everywhere you go, including fast food places, there are healthy choices. So...let's do this!!
